Our Name

The name Sakimawa is inspired by a word in the Cree language meaning “leader” or “chief.”

We chose this name as a reflection of leadership, responsibility, and service — values that guide how we work with our clients and partners.

We recognize the deep cultural significance of Indigenous languages and use this name with respect and acknowledgment of the history and communities from which it originates.
